Experience
I built mini eval, a lightweight tool for running evals on LLM outputs, and I integrate AI features into client products as part of my regular full stack work. Questions
Which AI models and providers do you work with?
Mostly Claude and OpenAI models through their APIs, but the integration patterns transfer to any provider. I pick the model based on the task, the latency budget, and the cost, and I build so you can swap providers without a rewrite.
Can you add AI features to our existing product?
Yes, that is the most common request. I work inside your existing codebase, add the AI feature behind a clean interface, and make sure it degrades gracefully when the model is slow, wrong, or unavailable.
How do you make sure the AI features actually work?
With evals: automated tests that run your prompts against real examples and score the outputs. I set them up early so we can measure changes to prompts and models instead of eyeballing them. I built my own eval tool, so this part gets taken seriously.
How much does an AI integration project cost?
