I take on a few freelance projects a year. Some clients hire me to build a product from scratch. Others bring me in to move an existing one forward.
I have been building digital products for over a decade, mostly with early stage startups. I was the founding engineer at VESYL for close to five years, built the backend behind Barry's Bootcamp streaming platform, and shipped work for teams like Testlio and Downtobid.
I care about the engineering, the design, and the product in equal measure. If you need someone who can take an idea and carry it all the way to production, that is what I do.

I build web applications end to end. I am most useful when the work cuts across product, design, and engineering: figuring out what to build, designing how it should work, and shipping it.

Who will I be working with?
Me. I work solo, so the person you email is the person designing, building, and shipping your product. For larger projects I can bring in people I trust, but I stay hands on.
How much will my project cost?
Every project is different, so it is hard to give a number without knowing the specifics. I work with both fixed project fees and monthly retainers. Once we have talked, I put together a clear proposal with the option that fits your project best.
Do you also offer design services?
I am not a designer by trade. That said, I have helped plenty of clients build polished user interfaces from scratch.
What is your hourly rate?
I do not bill by the hour. I prefer to work with a retainer or a project based fee, so you know the cost up front and there are no surprises.
Which tools do you use?
My go to tools are Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
Could you join us in the office?
I am happy to stop by for a coffee, but all of my work is done remotely.
